    1. I loved this little gem of a book and the artwork was gorgeous I thought the author expressed her feelings and journey with fear in a way that we can all relate to Her writing was concise, yet emotion filled I think everyone can connect with some aspect of her story as we all have felt fear and probably will again in the future I appreciate her honesty and vulnerability in sharing her story and her paintings.

    2. My Friend Fear is a visual self help book Now, it is very unlike other traditional self help books It does not offer a miracle solution to your anxiety Rather, it learns you to be a little bit okay with yourself It gives you a new perspective on how to perceive your emotions I think that this setting makes it so much less clinical than other self help books, and perhaps approachable As a bookworm, I can vouch for the saying that books can change your life As an art lover I can say that sometim [...]

    3. This year in particular, I ve been struggling with anxiety fear I usually anticipate failure and convince myself this failure is actually going to happen I ve done anxiety workbooks in the past and I think this book has similar information, but is presented in a way that I connect with less clinical, aesthetic.

    4. I liked this book The beautiful painting like illustrations were beautiful While, I liked this book, I was not in love with it I only agreed with about half of what was written in this book about fear Maybe this is because I am not as fearful as I thought I was As I was reading this book, I realized that I have grown throughout the years and not let my fear hold me back as much However, this is not just a book It is kind of like a self help book It should kind of be read a little by little as it [...]

    5. A beautiful book Meera begins the book by acknowledging fear and how it is ingrained in our culture and ourselves I feel afraid fairly often, almost on a daily basis, she says I spent a lot of time fighting my fears, waiting for the day that they d disappear completely I thought I was weak because there were so many things I was afraid of It wasn t until very recently that I began realizing that feeling afraid is inevitable but whether I let that fear help or harm me, is up to me My Friend Fear [...]

    6. The introduction to this had me speechless I wanted to tear the pages out and put them on my wall The rest of the book didn t go the way I thought it would go, but it was still fantastic The artwork on each page was beautiful and so pleasing to look at I loved reading it from cover to cover

    7. I recently won My Friend Fear in a giveaway and I m so glad I did I absolutely love this book Even though it took me a week to read this book, it s actually a very quick read It only took me so long because life, as usual, got in the way of fun Initially, I wanted to describe this book as though it was an adult version of a child s book I wanted to describe it this way because it s full of nice, whimsical illustrations which I love and has up to a couple paragraphs of writing at most on each pag [...]

    8. sometimes certain books gravitate towards you it s like they re an emotional magnet of sorts which attracts the reader certainly, one can learn how to transform their existence via practice and a bit of faith Meera indicates to us we are all Artists living is Art i d like to stress that to those who feel alienated as alleged non creative types we can all tap into the ocean of imagination yes, some of us are intuitive and sensitive in how their Art is shaped i ve been told that too So Above All, [...]

    9. I m not sure how others do on self help books, but I have the hardest time getting through them Perhaps because they can be somewhat overwhelming when you look at all the things you have to fix about yourself, it s easier to just give up But what I like most about My Friend Fear is that it s so short, sweet, and practical. There are no gimmicks, only asking yourself questions There s not a worksheet on every other page, just watercolor illustrations that I found to be quite soothing I read this b [...]

    10. This is a simple book, something that you could easily read in one sitting but it s nice to spend time with it contemplating how it relates to your own life and your own relationship with fear I ve done a good amount of spiritual and self healing and work in my life thus far and, even though this is written for someone new to the idea of examining and befriending fear, I still gleaned much from it The journal prompts throughout the book are useful as well I loved the colorful artwork throughout [...]

    17. The artwork was beautiful, but this book just didn t do much for me This is probably due to me reading too many books and articles on fear, anxiety, emotions, etc, rather than any actual deficit of this book.
